Pair of lamps with birds and branches in their silver cages, Japan circa 1920. Elegant pair of lamps presenting birds and flowering branches on a black background as if caged thanks to silver slat work imitating bamboo, the base and the neck also worked with the same strips in the manner of basketry. Japanese work from the first third of the 20th century, signed under the base. Both vases are in good condition, some slight wear to basketry. Recent electrical installation in working order. The lampshades are new, they were made by “L’Esprit des Lumières” with the Phoenix fabric from Thevenon.
