" Terracotta Pediment, Top Of Entrance Door, Immaculate Monogrammed Heart, 19th Century"
Very interesting pediment / door top in terracotta from the Napoleon III period representing an immaculate stylized heart, monogrammed with the initials CD and VH. This type of architectural element was formerly positioned at the entrance to the property and marked the belonging of the place as much as it symbolized the welcome and the faith in the union of the two families represented here by the intertwining of the letters. This terracotta is in good condition. However, it has some chips on its edges (see photos) but which do not weaken the object. Having always been exposed to the exterior elements, it is partially covered in lichen. Cement is also present inside its structure (see last photo).
