"Adolphe Gaussen (1871-1957) Seaside"
An energetic touch, the material which alternates with the reserves of the wooden panel, Pure nature, only the three elements which are the sky, the sea and the rocks expressed with a first draft technique, which makes it alive, bubbling and modern this work created by the Marseille artist Adolphe Gaussen who here follows in the tradition of his great friend Jean-Baptiste Olive. The work is presented in a modern gold frame which measures 50.5 cm by 58.5 cm and 32.5 cm by 39.5 cm for the panel alone. The frame and the refined technique make this oil on canvas dating from the beginning of the 20th century a modern work which will find its place perfectly in a contemporary interior. It represents a seaside, certainly on the Corniche in Marseille. In excellent condition, it is signed lower right.
