Oriental flintlock pistol by Fatou, Paris, early 19th century, in solid silver, set with corals. Platinum signed Fatou in Paris in its original tan. Round barrel ringed with silver, entirely decorated in the round. Fatou, arquebusier and furrier in Paris at the beginning of the 19th century, worked on rue Saint-Denis, then rue du Bacq. His weapons, both bladed and firearms, are always of excellent quality. Some of his works can be compared to those of Nicolas-Noël Boutet.
