"The grapes"
French painter of the 20th century, critics nickname him "the painter of presidents".
A fan of classical painting, he often created still lifes in which he represented fruits, earthenware and pewter. He frequents and exhibits in the greatest art galleries around the world, including Bernheim-Jeune in Paris, Wally Findlay in New York, as well as in Tokyo and Osaka in Japan.
In 1994, the Bernardaud porcelain factory reproduced some of his works on Limoges porcelain. Some of his paintings are exhibited at the Bernard-d'Agesci museum in Niort.
He was successively named Knight of Arts and Letters and Officer of Arts and Letters in 1986, then Knight of the Legion of Honor.
