"Louis XV Period Longcase Clock"
Very beautiful and rare longcase clock finely carved in oak , the dial of the movement signed "Arnold de Nève à Mastricht", Holland.The door bears the coat of arms of a noble family.
The base in black marble from the city Theux (Liège region, Belgium) and dated 1762.
Louis XV period; a Dutch work from the 18th century , city of Maastricht (located between Liège and Aix-en-Chapelle / Aachen ).
The longcase clock needs a little bit restoration , mainly the black marble base (needs to be glued ) and the mechanism ( to be revised by a watchmaker).
The pendelum and weights are present.
