Pair of beautiful frames, each containing four vignettes glued to a cardboard support and presented under a marie-louise with four windows. These pretty chromolithographs represent illustrations of different Hussars in uniform. They were made by Jean-François Eugène Titeux born December 11, 1838 in Aiglemont (Ardennes) and died January 1, 1904 in Antibes (Alpes Maritime). He was lieutenant colonel and major of his promotion at Saint Cyr (1857-1859) he joined the general staff upon leaving school before joining the army of engineers. He was also a painter, a recognized illustrator and a specialist in military scenes and uniforms.
