Pair of gilded sheet metal friezes "cornucopies" - Louis Philippe. Splendid pair of ornaments, decorations, friezes in golden sheet metal depicting cornucopias from which ears emerge. Considered an emblem of autumnal iconography, the "Cornucopia" is a name that derives from the union of the Latin terms "cornu", "horn", and "copia", "abundance": this horn of abundance, not surprisingly, it is depicted as a large cone overflowing with fruit, flowers, gold coins or ears of corn. Elements of great effect, very finely embossed, enriched with leaf motifs and bunches of grapes.
