"Buffet-credenza Cabinet Deux Corps Renaissance 16th Century France"
Important Renaissance sideboard-credenza. This piece of furniture, originally a very large 16th century chest, has three panels carved with mascarons and fluted uprights with two belt bands carved with the face of a bearded man in profile and a putti holding bunches of grapes. In the 19th century the panels were transformed into a door and an upper part was added repeating the motifs of the chest with three doors, two columns and a sculpted cornice.
