"Mother-of-pearl-silver Ball Book 18th"
Lovely miniature ball notebook 5, from the 18th century. It is made of mother-of-pearl entirely covered with silver inlay patterns on both sides and surrounded by silver; the back is also silver. The decorations are varied and of high quality: cherubs, quivers, arrows, trumpets, birds, flowers, foliage and arabesques coexist harmoniously. The interior is covered with red silk as well as its small blank notebook which is only held at the binding by a thread; the little pencil is missing. Condition is good; some rare missing silver on the motifs and a slight, very localized dent on the back. Very beautiful and rare collector's item. 8 X 5.5cm Thickness: 1cm
