This study is painted in pastel and charcoal. It is full of delicacy. Gustave Loiseau. painted numerous paintings representing Pontoise. He is part of the post-impressionist movement. he painted numerous scenes of rural life which reveal his passion for the seasons. In 1894 he participated in numerous exhibitions of impressionist painters then signed a contract with the Durand Ruel gallery in New York. His works are in numerous museums Potsdam - Chicago - Geneva - Orsay - Oxford - Rennes etc.
