"Hunting Showcase "vitrine" - Louis XIII Style - 19th Century France"
Original display case made up of 2 parts dating from the 19th century. This hunting display case was used to store trophies and rifles. Everything is made of dark wood. The lower part rests on 4 square feet. The lower part is decorated with two friezes of plant scrolls. It opens onto a door decorated with carved shells and scrolls. It also opens onto a drawer also decorated with carved foliage. The uprights consist of two detached twisted columns. At the top of these columns are floral designs. The upper part opens onto a glass door with scrollwork. The legs are the same as the lower part. The whole is surmounted by a frieze decorated with foliage and coats of arms in the center. At the ends are high relief sculptures depicting a dog and a wild boar. Finally, the whole is topped by a cornice decorated with foliage in a frieze. France - 19th century - Louis XIII style
