"Small Commode In Rosewood And Mahogany, Louis XV/louis XVI Transition - 2nd Part 19th"
This small chest of drawers opens with a drawer, in the belt, and below two identical drawers with hidden rails. The fronts of these drawers are decorated with rosewood marquetry of diamonds forming cubes, highlighted by amaranth and lemon tree fillets, surrounded by miter-cut mahogany frames. All these drawers are fitted with bronze rings chiseled with authentic functional locks with fitted keys and surface-mounted entrances decorated with knots. The chamfered legs veneered in horizontal rosewood are profiled by curved humped feet whose edge, also in rosewood, ends in a bronze shoe. The sides feature a butterfly wing veneer with amaranth fillets. The lower crosspiece is cut out. The very thick grooved Pyrenees marble follows the lines of this piece of furniture. The drawer interiors are in oak. Les Antiquités Lecomte offers you this small chest of drawers which will seduce you with its soft lines and the quality of its first choice woods. ******** Period: 2nd Part 19th Excellent condition.
