Born to French parents, he was a student of Alphonse Moutte in Marseille, then of Léon Bonnat and Henri Martin in Paris. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1904 to 1936. He obtained an honorable mention and a travel grant in 1907 (Au Jardin), as well as a silver medal in 1933. In addition, he received a medal of gold at the International Exhibition of 1937. The Drouet Gallery devoted an exhibition to him in 1910. He is the author of decorative panels for the Ministry of Colonies, and two ceilings for the Marseille Opera in 1924. he was made Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1920 and Officer in 1928. Member of the Salon des Tuileries, we owe him mainly nudes and landscapes. The Cantini Museum in Marseille preserves three works by him: "Watermelon and Crûche" from 1910, "the boule players" from 1918, "la Réussite" from 1934. The Musée des Augustins in Toulouse has "Au Soleil" from 1910. "The woman with blue stockings" is kept at the Luxembourg Museum.
