"A Saffron Cashmere Paisley Scarf - Scotland Victorian Period"
Second half of the 19th century Scotland Lovely Cashmere or Paisley scarf in woven wool of British origin and dating from the Victorian period. Spectacular orange saffron color with two ends loaded with palmettes, neo-Gothic style borders with tapered fringes. Very fine cut-throw weave with period sewn label mentioning an English provenance (illegible). Note five to six tiny moth holes that are difficult to see and do not call into question the stability of this scarf. No other defects or stains. Beautiful state of conservation and flamboyant color! Portable today. Dimensions: 193cm x 34cm.
