Jacob Petit
A brilliant draughtsman and technician, he revitalised the field of hard porcelain, whose main factories gradually ran into difficulties under the July Monarchy. Unfortunately, Jacob Petit was not spared, and his sense of renewal through themes from "elsewhere": Ottoman, Far Eastern and Iberian models, as well as his ability to produce rich polychromy and gilding, did not prevent him from going bankrupt in 1848...
