Object description :

"Astonishing Feat Of Embroidery On Double-sided Paper 17th Century. "
Amazing work of embroidery of silk threads on paper. Double-sided embroidery without any visible knots. Good condition, great freshness of colors. The original frame is double-sided, therefore quite thick. It is vintage and in its old gilding full of charm. The glasses are vintage. There seems to be a possibility of sliding the embroidered paper and its two glasses from the top of the frame but I didn't want to force it. The frame repair is in good condition. These double-sided embroideries are sometimes found in pious missal images but here the dimensions are important, 36cm by 30cm with the frame. Frame thickness 6cm. In short, a superb painting / object of great rarity and in good condition. The presence of the frame adds to the "curiosity" side of the whole, rarely seen in almost 40 years of work!
