Large Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Vase Daoguang Brand Decors And Medallions Yellow Background

Chinese porcelain vase enameled and decorated with 6 scenes in round, rectangular and peach-shaped medallions. the two large main settings are superb, one represents a mountainous landscape where a palace and temple are built where the characters go, the other is decorated with a concubine seated at a table, a branch in her hand, lazy and pensive.
These medallions are surrounded by imperial yellow enamel, a color reserved for the emperor and his family.
Bearing a Daoguang (1820-1850) mark underneath but apocryphal, this vase dates from the years 1800-1900 from the period of Emperor Guangxu (1875-1908), it was brought back to France by an ancestor of the former owners in 1905.
