ARCHEOLOGY

Rare limestone carved Corinthian corner capitals, in "L" shape.

The sculpture is in fact consituted by 2 contiguous capitals with a classic architectural register of acanthus leaves and scrolls. Left part has several cornices of successive stepped moldings

Regular wear & uses; The stone must have been outside and remains very fragile, powdery

Some residual light traces of ocher polychromy

3rd - 2nd century BC until the 11th century?, Mediterranean basin area

Dimensions 31cm length * 21cm depth * 10cm height
