The painter Jean-Pierre Dulucq had lived and worked in Perpignan since 1975, a city that he had painted from all its angles (its characters, its squares, its markets). Perpignan organized an exhibition for him at the end of 2017-beginning of 2018. Born in Bordeaux in 1942, he moved to Paris at the age of twenty to study at the Beaux-Arts in the studio of the famous painter Roger Chapelain-Midy. In 2017, the painter painted a backdrop with a Japanese atmosphere for his friend Alix Reig who was then opening a small cabaret in Perpignan. The artist thus returned to his specialty from the 1960s, having worked in Paris for the sets of the Alcazar, in the 1960s, at the request of its director Jean-Marie Rivière.
