"End Of The 19th Century Marble Plaque Attributable To Dossena"
Beautiful carved white marble plaque, depicting a noblewoman with elegant hair typical of the 14th century and inside a trefoil arch, supported by twisted columns. The plaque can be attributed to Alceo Dossena, a famous artist active between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century in the reproduction of copies and specimens of medieval and Renaissance style. In fact, the artist has deceived international museums with his sculptural quality, which is also clearly visible on this plaque. The object can be attributed to around the end of the 19th century, among Dossena's first works, when the artist began his career reproducing works in 14th-century style. The back of the plaque is also bush hammered so that the object can be fixed to the wall.
