"Silvered Bronze Christofle, 19th Century Agricultural Trophy"
This agricultural trophy was awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture at the regional competition in Tulle in 1887. It represents the honorary prize for small-scale farming, bestowed among others to this barefoot farmer carrying a sheaf of wheat on her shoulder.
The bronze is finely engraved and has retained all of its original silver plating.
The base is made of "griotte" marble, but it has some minor chips on the sharp edge. (Additional photos are available upon request.)
