"Marquise Pitcher In Glazed Earthenware, Amber Color. Creation Of The Potter Patrick Pernel, 20th"
Beautiful amber-coloured glazed earthenware jug from the potter Patrick Pernel. In the 1970s, P. PERNEL stayed in different workshops which worked either with glazed clay or sandstone. In particular, he learned about traditional pottery, making wedding jugs. He works the clay in a popular pottery style (turning, modeling). Some of the pieces are fired in a wood oven, the other in a gas oven. The potter also masters the Japanese technique of raku, which consists of firing in two stages, and which produces more cracked creations
