Indonesia, Island of Timor, early 20th century, rare and superb wooden chalk box (for betel), oblong in shape, carved in detail with a relief decoration representing three lizards and a geometric pattern. The cap is decorated with a bird, carved in the round and resting on a circle with geometric decoration. Beautiful patina of use.
Height: 16 cm. Good condition except for slight normal wear and tear.
