Object description :

"Travel Chest In Mesh Oak Late 16th Century Early 17th Century."
This mesh oak travel chest dates from the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century. It has the particularity of being removable into two parts for easier transport. It is mounted with a dovetail on four sides and reinforced in the corners by wrought iron plates. It is a middle chest because its base is decorated with a plinth cut on four sides. In the closed position, a bolt blocks the two elements. He has his key but the lock does not work.
