From the series of Heads for Study after Ossian, lithographed by Aubry-Lecomte and published in 1821-1822 under the title : Collection of heads for studies after the painting painted in 1801, by M. Girodet-Trioson, Member of the Institute, representing the shadows of the French heroes received in the Ossian air palaces, lithographed under his direction by Aubry-Lecomte, his pupil.
