Ca 1890-1910 Antique Indo-Persian metallic embroidery called Zardozi (Persian words for “gold” and “work”: silver and gold thread on silk.These embroideries decorated the royal tents and constituted vast wall hangings.
This one represents floral motifs, songbirds and peacocks. It is in good condition, the blue color ofvthe silk has faded but is in fact beautiful as is. Some wear on the silk and thread, mostly on the left upper part. No parts missing.
