"Pierre-joseph Wallaert (1753-1812) - Pilgrims In Ancient Ruins - Ink Drawing"
Large drawing depicting two pilgrims discussing with a man in a landscape of ancient ruins by Pierre-Joseph Wallaert (Lille 1753 - Paris around 1812). Work on a sheet of paper in black ink and wash colors, signed on a small strip of paper glued to the lower part which bears the inscription “P Wallaert invenit fecit”. The work is stuck on cardboard surrounded by an important mat, all in a Napoleon III period frame in blackened wood highlighted with gold fillets.
Condition report : good general condition with small scattered punctures and very small accidents. Missing on the edges of the frame.
