"Eugène Boudin, Plougastel, Le Passage Du Bac, 1871"
Eugène BOUDIN is a Norman painter known worldwide for his sky landscapes, seascapes and beach scenes. He is considered one of the precursors of Impressionism. He particularly marked the young painters Claude Monet and Jongkind and participated with them in the first exhibition of impressionist painters in the studios of Felix Nadar. He has won numerous awards and his works are now present in the greatest museums in the world. The proposed work is a landscape of Brittany painted in 1871, emblematic of the very subtle way in which Eugène treats the sky, water, light and the few characters who animate the scene. The whole offers perfect harmony, with the softness of a sunny sunset.
