This splendid still life by Claude Schurr produced in 1957 was exhibited the year of its creation at the Galerie Charpentier (“School of Paris” exhibition) as the main piece of the painter. It was also reproduced in Eric Mercier’s work “1950s – Young Painting”, volume 1 “The Figurative Alternative”. This work is therefore a reference in the painter's corpus and also a reference for its quality both from the point of view of colors and composition. Presented in a black American crate.
