China, Qing dynasty, 18th/19th century.
The bowl with slightly everted rim, decorated with a band of underglaze blue and white geometric motifs in archaic bronze style. Furthermore a double circle running underneath the mouth rim and a triple circle on the outer foot rim.
Provenance:
From an old Swedish collection. With original invoice from Hans Öström, Stockholm, 1942, wherein he states that this bowl is made in the Kangxi period and from the J. Loves Collection London (see last photo).
Dimensions:
Height 5.5 cm, diameter 11.6 cm.
Condition:
Mint condition, only some very tiny fritting to the mouth rim (almost non-visible), two small pieces of kiln grit adhering to the outer foot rim, next to some glaze pulling (both kiln flaws).
