Acrylic and mixed technique on wood, a sort of ''totemic sculpture painting'' signed at the top right: CERVERA, dated 94, expressing an art high in color and material, with relief, of African inspiration, the painter, avid traveler, having made a trip to Senegal that year.

Biography: André Cervera is a French contemporary artist born in 1962 in Sète. He joined the preparation of the School of Fine Arts in the same city, then was admitted to the School of Fine Arts in Marseille with Aldo Biascamano.
He lives and works in Sète (Hérault-France) and through his numerous travels. (Africa, China, India, etc.)
Senegal will be his first destination in 1994. After three or four days spent in the red light districts of Dakar, he leaves for Touba.
He flows into the holy city, inhaling perfumes, colors and words with passion.
Several paintings will then appear in the workshop.
Attached to the Sète school, 
Some would see in him a new "genre" called "Latin expressionism".
André Cervera compiles and records symbolic codes, mythologies, stories.
It is exhibited in numerous galleries in France and abroad as well as in museums.
