The painting in question shows an iconography typical of religious art in Europe, performed in oil on copper. 
It is in fact an oval depicting a Madonna with Child, whose sacred character is accentuated by the bright halos that surmount the head of the protagonists that stand out on the black background. The Virgin holds in her hand an apple, forbidden fruit from which derives the original sin of man and the perdition of mankind, but in the paintings depicting the Madonna and child, the meaning is of redemption and salvation, as the passion of Jesus will lead to the atonement of original sin. 
The lenticular attention to detail despite the small format, the palette of saturated and brilliant colors enhanced by the use of copper as a support, leads the painting back to the Flemish school. 
The strong chiaroscuro accents, deriving from the caravaggismo that from Italy has landed in Flanders thanks to the Flemish artists active in Italy shows that the present Madonna with child is a seventeenth-century production.
