"Sculpture "eglantine" By Moreau"
Charming bronze subject by Hippolyte François Moreau (Dijon 1832 - Neuilly sur Seine 1927) second son of Jean-Baptiste Moreau, student of Jouffroy at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts he exhibited his first work at the Salon of 1859. Most of his production includes charming figures of children and young women. He won a medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1878 and 1900. Most of his works are in the Dijon Museum. Signature on the terrace, beautiful patina (slight alteration).
