Sacristy Pediment – Late 18th Century flag

Object description :

"Sacristy Pediment – Late 18th Century"
Our large wood, carved in strong relief and with beautiful gilding, probably comes from above the door of a chapel or sacristy. This rich work from the end of the 18th century is part of a vast scallop shell, a symbol of resurrection.
She receives in her bosom, a heart of Glory decorated with a cross.
A decoration of rockeries with fruits and acanthus leaves enriches the whole.
