Raymond PELLETIER (1907-1958).
Imposing Art Deco medallion representing a pigeon, it is in silvered bronze mounted on a marble base surrounded by two chrome scrolls.
It is signed on the R.PELLETIER medallion.
Period: mid-20th century.
Sold in its own juice, not cleaned,
It is in good condition, nice patina, little wear, note a few micro shocks on the marble, barely visible and without depth, nothing serious, (see photos).
Raymond PELLETIER: sculptor, engraver and medalist. A former student of the Boulle school, he was general engraver of the Lima Mint in Peru from 1951. Raymond Pelletier was a very prolific medalist, most of his medals were published as special editions in an Art Nouveau and Art Deco style.
