"Naturalist Ceramic Sculpture Vase, Water Lily And King Fisherman, Early 20th Century"
Sublime naturalist sculpture in glazed ceramic which serves as a large vase. On a rocky base covered with foliage, a large stem and leaf of a water lily is closed on itself forming the vase part. On the body, an open nymphea-like flower near which a kingfisher holds a fish in its beak. At the top right, another kingfisher takes flight. The realism of this ceramic is stunning, the colors, proportions, textures remind us of nature. No apparent signature, but we can think of a Chinese origin, perhaps a Shiwan glazed earthenware. In all cases, we are in the presence of a very large and very decorative work. Very good condition, there is just a small missing tip of a leaf on the base at the back of the object (see photo). Early 20th century period. Delivery with all necessary protections, by carrier in wooden crate, 100 euros in France, 200 euros in the EU and 600 euros rest of the world. Firm price non-negotiable.
