Oil on canvas by Henri Malfroy (1895-1944), depicting a view of a harbor. Signed lower right. It has been restored at the back (see photo).

Henri Malfroy (1895-1944) was a French landscape painter. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyon before moving to Paris to continue his artistic training. Malfroy was influenced by the post-impressionist and fauvist movements, notably by artists such as Paul Cézanne and André Derain.
His artistic career was marked by his talent for capturing the beauty of French landscapes. Malfroy participated in numerous exhibitions in France and abroad, where his works were well received by critics and the public alike. His distinctive style and sense of light contributed to his artistic success.
