Yvonne Latil (1909-2000) was a self taught painter, but during the 2nd World War, she studied at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, Paris, under the rule of Yves Brayer, Fontanarosa, Mac Avoy and Reynolds.
She first exhibited in 1947 at the Salon d'Automne in Paris.
It is in Brittany, during her holidays at her grand-parent's in Ille-et-Villaine, that she discovered the blooming of apple trees that will inspire her lifetime.
She made frequent stays in the South, in Grasse. And lately exhibited at the Salon des Tuileries, the Salon of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, and various galleries in the Marais in Paris.
