"Mme De Montesson, Hand Painted Plate In The Taste Of Sèvres, Samson, 19th Century"
Beautiful hand-painted plate in the style of Sèvres representing the portrait of Madame de Montesson. Charlotte-Jeanne Béraud de La Haye de Riou, Marquise de Montesson (Paris, October 4, 1738 - Paris, February 5, 1806) is a French woman of letters. She was also the mistress, then the secret wife of Louis-Philippe, Duke of Orléans. Very fine painting of flowers and gold-plated interlacing. The portrait bears an apocryphal signature of Morin and the reverse is stamped with false Sèvres stamps. It is most certainly a production of the Samson factory at the end of the 19th century. Delivery 18 euros in France, 35 euros in the EU and 80 euros rest of the world.
