Very beautiful pair of Louis XVI style cassolettes in pink and purple veined marble and gilded bronze frame. The shape of the marble is unusual with well-rounded and chubby bellies. The gilded bronze frame of good quality with 3 rams' muzzles surrounded by garlands of flowers. The 3 legs chiseled with acanthus leaves and goat's feet. At the top, a marble lid and bronze pine cone. These are very decorative casserole dishes. Slight difference in color of the marbles. Period late 19th century around 1860-1880.
