His artistic and literary career began in the North, during the 1930s. The young artist then traveled through Ferrain and benefited from the teaching of the Bailleul painter and engraver Jules Alphonse Deturck. At the age of 19, he created his own publishing house in Tourcoing: “Éditions d’Art Daniel Derveaux”.
