"Singing Bird Clock From Bontems (paris) (automatic)"
Very beautiful and rare clock with bird automaton. Made by Bontems at the end of the 19th century in Paris. This French clock works for 8 days, chimes the half hour and the full hour. The pendulum is shaped like a butterfly. In the lower part, an automaton bird sits behind faceted glass. The clock makes the bird sing 2 minutes ahead of time. The bird sits in a beautifully decorated frame with a landscape painting on the back. The bird moves its head (from left to right) and opens its beak while singing. The whole thing has been completely restored by our specialist workshop and is once again in perfect condition, ready to offer another hundred years of wonder.
