"Langdorff Music Box (1858) Swiss"
Langdorff music box.The box features beautiful marquetry of various tropical woods in the center of the lid. The front, sides and back feature a simulation of wood grain, as you would expect from a music box of this era.
The music box plays 6 melodies as shown on the original melody card and is wound with a key which can be kept right in a separate part of the box.
The comb is original, it has not been modified.
Made in Switzerland in 1858.
This box is in near original condition and plays well.
