Late 19th century early 20th century Ottoman Empire Bohça, Ottoman chest top in sky blue silk satin and bumpy gold thread embroidery. Decorated with a central rosette and flower baskets in the four corners, dotted with stars and bouquets of flowers. Rich embroideries of gold chenillettes and gold thread mounted on rigid cardboard. Sky blue cotton sateen lining. Cream needle lace trim older than the square. The satin is fused, repaired and stabilized on three parts of 10 cm at the edge only. Very difficult to observe without careful examination. Otherwise very good solid structure of the lined fabric and flashy gold embroidery in good condition. Good condition of color and conservation.
