Katsinam decorative sculptures, also called Kachina, are witnesses to the traditions of the Hopi Indian peoples of Arizona. They come to life during traditional dances organized during the annual rain festivities. For the Pueblo Native American group, which includes the Hopi, these traditional Kachina dolls are educational tools offered to children at the end of ritual festivals. They represent a wide diversity of spirits, notably Kachina dancers, with colors associated with the cardinal points.
