Antique 18th century fan in ivory called “Vernis Martin”. Tortoiseshell head. It is painted with a pretty gallant scene and Chinese decorations on the throat. Note a discreet lack of ivory on one strand and slight lack of paint on the lower part, visible in the photos. It measures 8,66 inches long closed. Rare fan from the first part of the 18th century, circa 1730.
