◆Eitatsu Koyama (1880-1945) Real name "Shuho".
First studied Western painting with Honda Nishikichiro (mangaka and painter), then Kobori Tomion, landscape painter. Was affiliated with the Kano school (painted lay people). In 1901, he formed the Shiko-kai (artist association). From 1909, exhibited at the Bunten (Salon des Beaux Arts). Throughout his career, he produced a number of historical and warlike paintings. Many exhibitions, prices.
In 1938, he organized a war art exhibition in Ueno, and until 1940, he worked as an illustrator for the press.
The Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo holds two of his works.
