Suite Of 6 Chairs In Solid Cherry, Art Deco – 1940

Beautiful suite of six chairs in solid cherry, from the Art Deco period, notable for the narrowness of their backrest contrasting with their generous seat. Each chair rests on square section legs, tapering towards the bottom and provided with brass cladding on all four sides in the lower part. The generous seat is traditional (springs, horsehair, etc.) and covered in original black faux leather, imitation crocodile. The backrest, narrow and recessed, is openwork. It is topped with a wide, slightly rounded concave band on the top. In the middle of this backrest, two wooden cross elements provide an elegant finish to the whole. ******* Period: 1940 Restoration in our workshop. Original imitation leather in very good condition.
