Wrought pewter DISH with wide wing called “cardinal style” with strong peripheral molding.
Master's mark attributed to Paul Antoine TOURNIER received master before 1756: three-arch bridge / PAT
Diameter: 30.2 cm.
SAINT-JACQUES (Alpes de Haute-Provence), Mid-18th century.
Locality located to the south-east of DIGNE-LE-BAINS
The only observation to my knowledge of the production of this small center and interesting witness to the longevity of this broad-winged form born in the 17th century, adopted in France from Italy, under the influence of Cardinal Mazarin.
A few spots to be treated (or not!) and a small local deformation at the junction of the wing and the baffle.
